Privacy Policy

OPDDesk is an offline-first clinic management app for doctors and healthcare practitioners. It helps manage patients, consultations, appointments, and reports — all stored locally on your device.

By using OPDDesk, you agree to the practices described in this policy. The clinic operator (doctor or staff) is responsible for all patient data entered into the app.

All data is entered manually by clinic staff and stored locally on your device. We collect:

• Patient information — name, age, gender, mobile number, address
• Visit & consultation records — visit date, diagnosis, consultation notes, fees, queue token
• Doctor details — name, designation, consultation fees
• Appointment records — date, time, status, associated patient and doctor
• Clinic profile — clinic name, address, phone number, logo image
• App preferences — theme setting, biometric lock preference, Google account email (if backup is enabled)

We do not collect location, device contacts, browsing history, biometric data, or any advertising identifiers.

Data is used solely to operate the app's features:

• Managing patient records and visit histories
• Running the daily queue and token system
• Scheduling and tracking appointments
• Generating clinic reports and statistics
• Creating and sharing PDF visit summaries
• Exporting records to Excel files
• Backing up and restoring data via Google Drive

We do not use any data for advertising, analytics, or profiling.

All data is stored in a private database on your device, protected by Android and iOS built-in encryption. No data is sent to our servers — we do not operate any backend or cloud database.

Exported Excel files and PDFs are saved to your device's Downloads folder or shared via the system share sheet. Once shared, managing those files is your responsibility.

Data stays on your device as long as you use the app. Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data.

OPDDesk offers an optional Google Drive backup feature, disabled by default. To use it, you sign in with your own Google account.

• The app can only access files it creates — it cannot read any other files in your Drive
• Backups are stored in an "OPDDesk" folder in your Google Drive
• A maximum of 2 backup versions are kept; older ones are deleted automatically
• Backups are encrypted in transit via HTTPS
• You can sign out and revoke access at any time from within the app settings

When using this feature, your data is also subject to Google's Privacy Policy.

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any third party. Data may only leave the app through actions you explicitly take:

• Export to Excel — saved to your device or shared via the system share sheet
• Share PDF — individual visit record shared via the system share sheet
• Google Drive Backup — uploaded to your personal Google Drive account only

The app contains no analytics SDKs, advertising networks, or crash reporting services. No data is transmitted in the background.

• Internet — used only for Google Drive backup and restore
• Biometric / Face ID — allows fingerprint or Face ID to lock the app; biometric data is never stored or transmitted by the app
• Photo Library (iOS) — allows selecting a clinic logo image
• Storage (Android, older versions) — allows saving and importing Excel files on Android 9 and below; not used on modern Android versions

We take reasonable steps to protect your data:

• All app data is stored in private, device-encrypted storage
• Optional biometric lock prevents unauthorized access
• Google Drive transfers use HTTPS encryption
• No third-party SDKs that could exfiltrate data

You are responsible for keeping your device secured with a screen lock and your Google account protected.

OPDDesk is intended for use by healthcare professionals and clinic staff. It is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted data through this app, please contact us and we will take steps to remove it.

Since all data is stored on your device, you have full control at all times:

• Access — all records are visible within the app
• Edit — update any patient or visit record directly in the app
• Delete — remove individual records or uninstall the app to erase everything
• Export — use Settings → Import/Export to download all data as Excel files
• Revoke Google Drive access — sign out from the app or via your Google account settings
