The event marked the launch of The Godavari Initiative, a collaborative effort aimed at enhancing the resilience of the basin through sustainable water management practices and knowledge sharing. The platform was launched by Shri Mukesh Sinha, Chairman, Central Water Commission. Aligned with UN CEO Water Mandate, the initiative seeks to foster multi-sector partnerships to safeguard this vital resource. The conclave emphasized the need for landscape-based approaches to address water stress and promote collective action.

Businesses Come Together to Launch The
The Godavari Initiative (TGI) a multi-stakeholder collaborative platform was launched in Mumbai by Mr. Mukesh Kumar Sinha, Chairman, Godavari River Management Board (GRMB) to address critical challenges related to the health of Upper Godavari River basin. With Diageo India as the founding partner, the initiative is supported by GSK, Hinduja Group, Alliance for Water Stewardship, CSRBOX and a few more organisations.
