The Fitzrovia is an 88,000 sq. ft redevelopment located just 200 metres from Oxford Street, in the heart of London. Commissioned by M&G Real Estate, this high-profile project represents a significant investment in central London. The six-storey, mixed-use scheme comprises 65,000 sq. ft of Grade A office space, 8,000 sq. ft of retail space, and a number of residential units, including eight apartments distributed across multiple levels.

Kier Group’s Role

As principal contractor, Kier Group was responsible for the successful delivery of The Fitzrovia project. A recognised national contractor, Kier is known for its expertise in delivering complex public and private sector developments with a focus on sustainability and long-term value. Their track record includes the delivery of over 2,100 buildings under ongoing facilities management, 250 educational institutions, and 135 healthcare projects over the past five years—demonstrating their breadth of experience across key infrastructure sectors.

During the design phase, we undertook a comprehensive fire risk assessment, working alongside the wider project team to embed fire safety principles from day one. As construction progressed, we provided continuous on-site consultancy, ensuring fire safety requirements were implemented and maintained at every stage. Our proactive involvement meant fire safety was not treated as an afterthought but as a core design and build consideration—delivering a fully compliant, safety-led outcome.
